While one life might end, another takes root. Our at peace, with peace pledge.

At We Help With Probate, we believe that life should not only be remembered, but celebrated. Every person leaves behind a story, one that deserves to be honoured in a way that brings comfort, meaning and hope. We see probate as more than paperwork, process and procedure. It is the final act of care for someone who once filled our lives with warmth and love. And in that spirit, we wanted to create something lasting, something that symbolises renewal and peace, a living legacy.
That is why, for every probate we assist, we pledge to plant a tree in memory of the life we are helping to honour
Each tree is planted through our partnership with the Woodland Trust, an organisation devoted to protecting and restoring the natural beauty of Britain’s woodlands. These trees grow quietly across the UK, from the gentle slopes of Kent and the rolling countryside of Surrey, to the ancient forests of Scotland and the valleys of Wales. They stand as timeless tributes, a living reminders of those who came before us.

We call this our “At Peace with Peace ” pledge. It reflects a belief that life, much like nature, never truly ends it simply changes form. A tree embodies that belief perfectly. It begins as something small and fragile, yet grows into something strong, generous and enduring. It gives shelter to wildlife, purifies the air, and offers beauty to all who pass by. It expects nothing in return but gives endlessly, just as the people we remember gave to those around them
When we plant a tree, we are not planting it for today, we are planting it for tomorrow, and for the many tomorrows that will follow. A single tree can live for decades, sometimes centuries, quietly contributing to the world long after our footsteps have faded. It becomes a symbol of continuity, of love that endures, and of peace that truly lasts.
Many families tell us how comforting it feels to know that a tree has been planted in honour of their loved one, something tangible, rooted in nature, that grows as life moves forward. Some choose to visit the woodland, to stand beneath its canopy and feel a quiet connection. Others simply take solace in knowing that somewhere, a living thing now stands tall because their loved one once did.

This pledge is not about being environmentally conscious, or achieving corporate targets. It is about doing something heartfelt, something that matters. It is about giving back to the earth in memory of those who gave so much to it. It is our way of saying thank you to those whose lives we help to honour, and to the world that holds their memory.
Every time we assist with probate, a new life quietly begins to take shape. A sapling planted in British soil, destined to grow, to shelter, and to breathe life back into the world. It is a gesture of remembrance that transcends words, a promise that every life will be celebrated, and that peace, in all its forms, will continue to grow.
At We Help With Probate, our mission has always been to help people through one of life ’s hardest journeys with kindness and understanding. This pledge is simply an extension of that mission, a way to make sure that for every life we help to honour, another takes root and continues to give back to the world we all share.
