Where it all begun, the realisation why you might need us more than you think.

I’m Thomas, the founder of We Help With Probate.
My career began back in the early 2000s with Mercedes-Benz and McLaren an industry where precision, professionalism and client care were everything. It taught me that people remember how you make them feel far more than anything else. That belief has stayed with me throughout my life.
My passion for property eventually led me into owning an estate agency, Integra-Estates, where I began to see firsthand the emotional weight people carry when managing the estate of someone they love.
One particular experience, early in my career, has never left me.

I was asked to carry out a probate valuation on a beautiful two-bedroom apartment in Beckenham BR3. The home was immaculate, with French doors opening onto peaceful gardens. You could feel the warmth of the person who had lived there. I met the deceased’s daughter, the sole executor of the estate, who was doing her best to stay composed while sharing her struggles, she had siblings arguing over jewellery and keepsakes, disputes over their late mother’s car, and a constant stream of questions and expectations from named charities chasing for updates and progress reports. She lived two hours away, worked full-time, and was trying to manage her own life and family while grieving and juggling the enormous responsibility left to her.
As we spoke, she began to write a list of everything she needed to do. It filled page after page, finding a solicitor, providing documents, locating bank accounts and shares, obtaining three property valuations, keeping beneficiaries updated, inspecting the property for insurance, even sorting through personal belongings. The list grew longer by the minute, and with every item, the look of overwhelm deepened.

Then something simple, yet deeply moving, caught my attention. When she left the room in tears, I noticed a Radio Times resting on the arm of the sofa, with a pair of reading glasses neatly placed on top, as if her mother had set them down to make a cup of tea, intending to come straight back.
That small scene, frozen in time, struck me harder than anything else. It was a quiet reminder of how fragile life is, and how, in an instant, everyday moments can become memories. In that moment, both my client and I sat in tears, and I said the words that unknowingly would one day define my purpose: “This is far too much for one person to handle. Let me help.”

From that day forward, I supported her in every way I could, carrying out property inspections to maintain insurance, arranging charitable donations, organising clearances and ensuring her mother’s home was treated with care. I liaised with solicitors, handled enquiries from charities and beneficiaries, and kept everything moving until the process was finally complete. Eighteen months later, when the property was sold and the funds distributed, she wept again, this time with relief. She told me, “I genuinely don’t know what I would have done without you.”
Those words changed everything for me. I realised that while people can plan for many things in life, few are ever prepared for the emotional and practical challenges of probate. Executors are often left to face it alone, burdened by paperwork, family tensions and endless decisions at a time when all they truly need is space to grieve.

That experience was the spark that led to We Help With Probate. A company built on trust, care and understanding, created to give executors the steady support they so often need. We handle the practical details, from property inspections and maintenance to solicitor liaison and beneficiary communication and a magnatude of other items, so families can focus on healing, knowing everything is being looked after properly.
We Help With Probate is my opinion a helping hand, a well needed way of helping people through something far more personal. It’s not about transactions; it’s about trust, empathy and making one of life’s hardest journeys just a little easier to bear.
